Hawian Roll Sliders Beef Onion Tomato

These Ground Beef Sliders get made a LOT around our household. They are great to feed a crowd—whether it's for a pool party, a baby shower or a cowboy crew—everyone loves them and they couldn't be easier! A yummy ground beef mixture is put in between slider buns for the perfect hand-held treat. And like any other burger, you can then doctor them up to your taste with pickles, tomatoes, etc.

One bit of advice: even if you don't typically like mayo, use it anyway in this recipe!! I have made these for a few people that don't like mayonnaise, and I don't tell them there's mayo in them until afterwards, and they have said "oh I couldn't even tell!" But, if you leave out the mayo, you'd miss out on the creamy, yummy flavor. So don't skip it!

Another handy thing about this recipe is that is can be partially a freezer meal. You can make the meat mixture and freeze it. Then you'll just thaw the meat mixture in the fridge, warm it up a little in the microwave, and then assemble the sliders as directed.

We got this recipe for Ground Beef Sliders from Isaac's brother, Joshua—thanks for the recipe, Chach!

Ground Beef Sliders

We have served these sliders with several different sides such as fruit salad, mac n cheese, chips, apple slices, carrot sticks, etc.

This recipe for Ground Beef Sliders uses, you guessed it…Ground Beef! Ground Beef is one of my favorite cuts of meat because not only is it very affordable but it's also so versatile. It can be shaped into meatballs , patties for salisbury steak or browned and crumbled in soups , taco / burrito meat or like this recipe, Ground Beef Sliders. Ground Beef can be from any cut of beef, but is typically from the Chuck, Round or Sirloin.

We've had a lot of new babies making their debut on the ranch lately. We love watching mother nature do her thing with these new lives.

Here is a picture of a mama cow and her brand spankin' new baby.

This little calf is a twin and since Mama doesn't produce enough milk for both babies, we bottle feed this girl until she is old enough to eat on her own.

And we had our first foal around here in 5 years! We haven't named her yet, Isaac likes to wait to see what their personality will be like before he names them.

Ground Beef Sliders

Serves 8-12 (makes 24 sliders).

Course: Main Course

Cuisine: American

  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 1 (1.25 oz.) packet onion soup mix
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 cups cheddar or colby jack cheese, shredded
  • 24 dinner rolls (I usually use the "savory butter" Hawaiian sweet rolls)
  • pickles, tomatoes, etc. for serving, optional
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°.

  2. Cover a large baking sheet with foil and then spray the foil with cooking spray. Set aside.

  3. Brown the ground beef in a large skillet with the onion soup mix. Drain if needed.

  4. Remove from heat and add the mayonnaise and cheese. Stir to combine.

  5. Cut the dinner rolls in half (it's easiest to cut them as a slab, not one by one). A serrated knife works best.

  6. Place the bottom half of the rolls on the prepared baking sheet. Spread the ground beef mixture on the top of the bottom half of the rolls. Place the tops of the rolls on top of the meat mixture to complete the sandwich.

  7. Spray another sheet of foil with cooking spray and cover the rolls.

  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes.

  9. Serve with pickles, tomatoes, etc. if desired.
